DC Kulgam Inaugurates YSS’s Provincial Level Inter District Cricket Tournament For Girls

Kulgam: Deputy Commissioner Kulgam Dr Bilal Mohi ud Din Bhat on Saturday as a chief guest inaugurated a Provincial Level Inter District Cricket Tournament for Girls organized by the Joint Director Youth Sports and Services (YSS) Kashmir and hosted by the Department of YSS District Kulgam in the presence of the department’s districts officer Mushtaq Ahmad Pampori at Sports Stadium Kulgam.

The Chief Guest appreciated the YSS’s initiative for organizing and hosting such events which are easing the government’s initiative for having Nasha Mukht Bharat and for polishing the talent of young blooming buds of talented cricketers.

At the inaugural ceremony, all ten district teams of Kashmir Division presented a March Past and Guard of Honor to the Chief Guest, who welcomed them with a bang of claps.

Later on, matches were played at different venues in Kulgam viz Sports Stadium HC Kulgam and Sports Stadium Kulgam.

At Sports Stadium Kulgam, the first match was played between Bandipora and Shopian teams. Bandipora won the toss and chose field first. Shopian set the target 81 in 12 overs, while Bandipora chased the target and won the match by 5 wickets.
