Illegal Mining of Minerals at Sheeri B’la: Police Seizes 3 Tippers; Arrests 3 Drivers

Baramulla, Sept  8: Cracking a whip on illegal mining of minerals at Sheeri, the Baramulla Police seized three Tippers besides arresting three drivers.

The Police initiated the action under the supervision of Sh Altaf Ahmad-JKPS DySP Hqrs Baramulla assisted by Inspr. Mudasir Nazar SHO PS Sheeri.

The police seized 3 Tippers & arrested 3 drivers namely Farooq Ahmad Dar son of Mohd Maqbool, Bashir Ahmad Reshi son of Ab Hamid both residents of Jalsheeri & Khalid Hussain Malla son of Gh Ahmad resident of Kitchama.

The drivers alongwith their vehicles were found involved in illegal extraction/ transportation of minerals and accordingly FIR under relevant sections of law were registered in Police Station Sheeri against them and investigations taken up.
