45-year-old man injured in bear attack in Lolab Kupwara

Srinagar: A 45-year-old man was attacked and left injured by a black bear in Hayatpora village in Lolab area of north Kashmir’s Kupwara district this afternoon.

Reports reaching GNS said that one Ghulam Rasool was attacked by a bear at his native village.

The injured man was evacuated to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Meanwhile, a Wildlife Department official told GNS that an operation is being launched by the department to tranquilize the roaming beast to avoid any untoward incident.
