Jammu, July 28: Two sisters drowned to death in a canal in Digiana area of Jammu district late last evening, officials said here on Friday.

Quoting an official, KNO reported that two sisters, aged three and five years, went missing in Digiana area last evening, following which a search operation was launched. The joint operation was launched by NDRF, SDRF and Jammu police to retrieved their bodies.

“After hectic efforts their bodies were recovered and have been taken to a hospital for medico-legal formalities,” he said.
