Baramulla, July 26: Police in Barmulla have recovered an abducted minor girl by arresting an accused person involved in the commission of crime.
On 24/07/2023, Police Post Palhallan received a written complaint from one person stating therein that his minor daughter is missing from home since 23-07-2023. Accordingly, a case under relevant sections of law was registered at Police Station Pattan and investigation was initiated.
During the course of investigation, with the help of technical evidences, it came fore that the missing girl has been abducted by one person identified as Nazim Ahmad Kumar son of Abdul Razak resident of Mulgam Kunzer. Consequently, police team swung into action and proceeded towards Kunzer where the accused was arrested and the abducted girl was recovered.
After completing all medico-legal formalities, the girl was handed over to her legal heirs. Further investigation into the matter is going on.
