Two arrested for killing stray dog in Srinagar:Police

Srinagar, July 24 : Jammu and Kashmir Police have arrested two people on Monday for allegedly killing a stray dog in Srinagar’s Badamwari area.

The duo has been identified as Gulzar Ahmad Beigh of Rehmaniya Colony, Lal Bazar, and Adnan Shah of Hawal Badamwari, Police said in a Sunday-night tweet.

Police said the two were arrested on charges of cruelty and brutally killing a stray dog near Badamwari Rainawari on July 21, 2023.A case under relevant sections of the law stands registered in Police Station Rainawari, they said.

“Two people, Gulzar Ahmad Beigh of Rehmaniya colony, Lal Bazar, and Adnan Shah of Hawal Badamwari, were arrested for cruelty and brutally killing a stray dog near Badamwari Rainawari on July 21, 2023.” FIR No. 29/2023 U/S 429 IPC & Sec. 11 (1) of PCA Act, registered in PS Rainawari,” Srinagar police said in a tweet.
