Several Children Rescued From Forceful Begging

Srinagar, June 12: Several local and non-local children, who were forced into begging, were rescued on Monday in the Parimpora area of Srinagar, officials said.

An official stated that the Child Protection Welfare Team conducted a raid in the Parimpora area today and rescued several non-local and local children.

He mentioned that these children had been coerced into begging by some brokers.

Meanwhile, a senior police official said that the Juvenile Justice Board and Srinagar Police collaborated on the rescue operation.

He further added that three children from Parimpora and several others from different areas were also rescued.
