Police arrest wanted drug smuggler in Baramulla

Srinagar, May 25 :Police on Thursday claimed to have arrested a wanted drug smuggler along with banned drugs in Jammu and Kashmir’s Baramulla district.

Police identified the drug smuggler as Waheed Sultan Ganie alias Raaj Don, a resident of Shirpora Pattan, who was arrested at National highway Zangam Pattan during checking.

The accused was coming in a vehicle towards Pattan and upon seeing the police checking party tried to flee from the spot but was apprehended tactfully, police said.

During the search 310 capsules of Spasmo Proxyvon Plus were recovered from him.
He was taken into custody immediately and the vehicle was also seized on spot.

A case under Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act has been registered in Police Station Pattan and investigations set in motion.
