DDC Chairperson Gbl chairs DPC meeting to approve DCP 2023-24

Ganderbal, May 6: The Chairperson, District Development Council (DDC) Ganderbal, Nuzhat Ishfaq along with Deputy Commissioner (DC) Ganderbal, Shyambir today chaired a meeting of District Planning Committee (DPC) to approve the District Capex Plan (DCP) 2023-24 at VC Room, here.

At the outset, a detailed discussion was held regarding the plan submitted by the DDC members, BDC members, PRIs and line departments under District Capex Budget 2023-24.

Chief Planning Officer Ganderbal, Irfan Giri informed the meeting that 1449 works were approved including 354 works of DDCs, 71 BDCs and 881 works of PRIs.

It was informed that the plan has been formulated as per the approved ceiling conveyed by the Finance department in close consultation with PRIs.

The DC also enquired about the status of works completed in previous financial year and CPO informed that 100 percent works are physically completed besides cent percent budget was utilized. He further informed that around 400 works are also completed under B2V1, B2V2 and B2V3 in the district.

Speaking on the occasion, the DC complimented all line departments and PRI members for ensuring 100 percent completions of funds during last year.

While approving the District Capex Plan 2023-24, the DC stressed upon all the officers to work with same dedication and added zeal to complete all approved works in a stipulated time frame adding that district administration is committed to ensure equitable development in the district to benefit the general public.

The meeting was attended by President Municipal Council Ganderbal, Chief Planning Officer, and Executive Engineers of various engineering wings besides other concerned committee members.
