DYS&SO Srinagar organises Para Sports events for specially-abled persons at Abhinandan Home, Solina

Srinagar, May 4: As part of Para-sports week celebration w.e.f 02 May, 2023 organised by the Department of Youth Services & Sports (DYS&S) Srinagar, specially-abled persons participated in Volleyball, Chess, Carrom and recreational games at Abhinandan Home, Solina Srinagar.

More than 150 students participated in different sports events.

The week long activities for specially-abled persons are being conducted on the directions of Joint Director Youth Services and Sports Kashmir with an aim to involve such communities to boost their morale.

The students were seen very enthusiastic during the participation and the administration of the school has applauded the efforts taken by the sports department.

The initiative has been taken to engage these specially-abled persons in different sports activities to provide them a platform to showcase their talent.

The activities are being conducted by the Zonal Physical Education officers of Zone Batamaloo and Amirakadal.
