DC Ganderbal reviews arrangements for Youth Entrepreneurship Festival in district

Ganderbal, Apr 20: Deputy Commissioner Ganderbal, Shyambir today convened a meeting of concerned officers to review the arrangements for weeklong Youth Entrepreneurship Festival that is going to be held in the district in the month of May, 2023.

At the outset, the DC deliberated upon the idea behind celebrating Youth Entrepreneurship Festival and said that purpose of Festival is to provide platform to the budding Youth to show case their entrepreneur abilities and share their innovative ideas.

While reviewing the activities to be undertaken during the week-long event, the DC said that event will be inspiration to the people of the district who have excelled in various fields who will be given chance to narrate their success stories duirng the event.

It was given out that main event will be held in the premises of Govt Degree college Ganderbal and Qamaria Stadium.

While discussing the arrangements being put in place at GDC Ganderbal, Executive Engineer R&B was directed to ensure all arrangements including white washing of main block, lighting arrangements shall be completed at an earliest.

EO Municipal Council Ganderbal was directed to take all possible measures for development and decoration of main road from Towheed Chock to Qamaria Stadium including development of paths, painting, street lights, etc.

Similarly, necessary instructions were also given for making foolproof arrangements including installation of stalls and Shamiyana at Qamaria Ground.

The DC sought cooperation and coordination among all the departments for ensuring foolproof arrangements for making the event a success.

The meeting was attended by Additional District Development Commissioner, Mushtaq Ahmad Simnani; Additional Deputy Commissioner, Mehraj-ud-Din Shah; Chief Planning Officer, Irfan Giri; ACR, ACD besides other district and sectoral officers.
