Teenage boy dies in a fatal road accident, another injured


Budgam, Apr 12: A 15-year-old pillion rider died while the biker sustained critical injuries after their motorcycle skidded off the road in Chadora town of Central Kashmir’s Budgam district on Wednesday.

Police sources told news agency Kashmir News Trust that the incident occurred in Borwah village of Chadora.

“The driver lost control of the speeding bike. Both the driver and the pillion rider were injured and shifted to SMHS Hospital where one among them identified as Imran Farooq Lone (15) succumbed to his injuries.”

The injured Moomin Altaf Sheikh (22) is undergoing treatment and his condition is still critical, sources added.

Both the victims are the residents of Yarikalan Chadora.

Police have taken cognizance of the incident and registered a case under relevant sections of law.
