Regional Director S&LR organises awareness programme on issuance of unique ID for land parcels

Ganderbal, Mar 14: Regional Director Survey & Land Records ( S&LR) J&K today organised an outstandingly impressive programme on issuance of a 14-digit alpha numeric geo spatial unique identification number for land parcels at Government Degree College Kangan.

The programme was organized in collaboration with the Revenue Department under the supervision of SDM Kangan.

The issuance of a 14-digit alpha numeric geo spatial unique identification number, which can be touted as Bhu – AADHAR will be issued for every land parcel of the UT of J&K.

Among large gathering representatives of PRI’s, Lumberdars,Patwaris and general public participated with great enthusiasm and great fervour in the said programme.

While speaking on the occasion,Regional Director Survey & Land Records J&K, Kwaja Nazir Ahmad Qureshi talked about the historicity of updation of land records and various initiatives of the Govt. to make digital land a reality.

Talking about a unique card to be alloted to the Farmers/ landowners , other participants viz SDM Kangan, Project Manager RmTech,Technical expert  and Tehsildar Kangan highlighted the importance of this card and requested every participant to make use of digital literacy in an efficient manner.

An interactive session was also organised with landowners by Regional Director Survey & Land Records J&K and the people in general were happy with the awareness programme.
