DDC Chairperson Gbl presides over ‘International Women’s Day’ function

Ganderbal, Mar 8: The Chairperson, District Development Council (DDC) Ganderbal, Nuzhat Ishfaq today presided over the International Women’s Day function organized at Boys Higher Secondary School, Ganderbal.

During the programme various cultural activities focused on women empowerment were presented by renowned artists who mesmerized the audience.

Speaking on the occasion, Nuzhat Ishfaq highlighted the role of women in today’s world and said empowerment of women folk is must for the progressive and developed society and appealed to every citizen to contribute for the gender equality and empowerment of the women through education and ensuring all other facilities to the girl child.

The programme was also attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner Ganderbal, Mehraj-ud-Din Shah; ASP Ganderbal, Feroz Yehya; EO Municipal Council Ganderbal, District Social Welfare Officer, ASHAs and Aganwardi workers.
