Sopore, Mar 7 : A massive fire broke out in a commercial cum residential building in Sopore village in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Tuesday afternoon.
An official told GNS that the fire erupted this afternoon in a commercial cum residential building of Abdul Majeed Banday at Dangerpora village, following which fire tenders were rushed to the spot.
After hectic efforts by locals and the fire service department, the fire was put under control and prevented from spreading, as the area is congested, the official added.
The cause of the fire was not known immediately, but is said to be a short circuit.
