Five killed in dumper-taxi collision in Ajmer

Ajmer, Mar 18: Five people were killed when a taxi, they were travelling in, and a dumper collided head on in Roopnagar police station area in this district of Rajasthan on Wednesday.
The accident occurred at 0300 hours when the taxi, proceeding towards Nagaur, collided with an illegal gravel-laden dumper, leading to on the spot death of five people, police said.
The deceased were identified as Sandeep Punia, Shaukeen, Surendra Singh, Sanjay Sharma and Ramchandra died on the spot.
Police rushed to the spot and sent the bodies to primary health centre in Roopnagar for post-mortem.
Four of the dead hailed from Rajgarh in Nagaur district and one from Churu district.
Sub-Divisional Officer, Tehsildar, Deputy Superintendent of Police and other police officers reached the spot.
Police have seized the dumper.
