Radio Raabta 90.8 Celebrates World Radio Day

 Srinagar,  Feb 13:World Radio Day is observed every year on 13 February, around the world raising awareness and attention to radio’s importance among the citizens.

On this momentous occasion, Radio Raabta 90.8 celebrated the day as the day of love and peace by promoting brotherhood, harmony and happiness amongst the listeners through musical renditions, lively interviews and interactions, where in people from different walks of life came together on a single platform.

Radio remains the most widely consumed medium. “Radio is like my old brother as my father used to listen to it a lot which also makes me fond of it”, S.Tariq, a renowned cartoonist and Journalist quoted, while interacting with the Raabta team.

Meanwhile, the Station Head, Radio Raabta, RJ Umar Nisar said that, “Radio is a ‘Go to’ medium for millions of people to consume fresh and live content daily and to rely it on as a true companion”.

“Humanity is celebrated through radio in all its diversity. Radio is the most effective way of delivering information. It is a free and trusted one. Due to this, it has the widest geographical reach and the greatest audiences compared with the Internet, television, and the newspaper”, said the vibrant RJ Mehak Farooq.

As the citizens in Kashmir celebrate the World Radio Day, Chinar Corps would like to take a moment to recognize the hard-working individuals behind the scenes, who bring in the wonderful programming and the listeners, who tune in each day.
