Ganderbal Police Arrested Two More Drug Peddlers, Contraband Substance Recovered From Their Possession

Ganderbal, Feb 3: To eradicate the menace of Drugs from the society and taking Stringent action against Drug Peddlers, Ganderbal Police apprehended two more Drug Peddlers alongwith Contraband Substance in the jurisdiction of Police Station Lar.

The Police Party led by SHO PS Lar Gulzar Ahmad, under the supervision of DySP Hqr’s Ganderbal Shri Gh Hassan-JKPS apprehended two suspected persons at Repora Naka. On seeing the Police Party, the duo tried to flee from the spot. However, Police tactfully arrested both of them and during their personal search Contraband Charas like Substance was recovered & seized. The accused disclosed their identities as Mohammad Faiz S/O Mohammad Ayoob R/O Rampur, UP and Mohammad Dilshad S/O Mohammad Ramzan R/O. Meerapur, UP.

In this regard, Case FIR No. 09/2023 under relevant sections of law was registered in PS Lar and further investigation has been taken up.

The swift action by Ganderbal Police has been appreciated by the general public & crackdown on drugs Peddlers will continue in future also. People are requested to co-operate with the J&K Police in curbing the dreadful menace of drugs.
