ADDC Ganderbal chairs grievance redressal camp at Wakura

 

Ganderbal, Feb 1: Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC) Ganderbal, Mushtaq Ahmad Simnani today presided over a grievance redressal camp held at Administrative Complex block Wakura as a part of weekly Block Diwas.

 

The programme witnessed enthusiastic participation of people from Wakura and PRI members of various Panchayats of block Wakura wherein they apprised the ADDC about their grievances and sought early redressal.

 

The officers of all line departments including Chief Planning Officer, Irfan Giri, Assistant Commissioner Development, Dr. Bashir Ahmad, ACP, CMO, DFO, Sindh Forest Division, District Lead Bank Manager, Tehsildar Wakura, BDO Wakura were available to hear the public grievances.

 

Speaking on the occasion, the ADDC said that the purpose of organizing Block Diwas is to reach out to the people at their doorsteps for listening to their grievances and assess the development needs of the people.

 

PRIs and locals sought better road connectivity, adequate health facilities, up gradation of Jal Shakti and PDD infrastructure, dredging of irrigation canals and other related issues concerning their respective areas.

 

The ADDC resolved several issues on the spot besides issued instructions to the concerned departments to take measures to address the public issues.

 

On the occasion the ADDC appealed the locals and PRI members to maintain cleanliness in all panchayats and carry special drives in this regard besides people and shopkeepers should be encouraged to use dustbins for garbage and desist from littering on roads and waterbodies.

 

He also assured the PRIs that all their issues would be taken into consideration in a time bound manner and directed the officers of line departments to work in coordination with the PRIs so that equitable development of all panchayats is ensured in the district.
