NCC Cadets Of Jammu Kashmir And Ladakh Secure Fourth Position At The NCC RD Camp 2023

 

Srinagar, Jan 31 :In a historic & unprecedented achievement, the NCC Cadets of Jammu Kashmir and Ladakh Directorate clinched Fourth Position in the recently concluded Republic Day NCC camp 2023 at New Delhi.

The RD Camp is attended by contingents from all the 17 NCC directorates representing each and every state/UT of the country and comprises of several competitions which include Drill events like PM Rally, Guard of Honor to VVIPs and marching on the Kartavya Path, Cultural performances showcasing the rich culture of the region, as well as personal discipline and maintenance of cadets’ living area. The cadets trained and prepared hard for this most prestigious NCC camp for almost five weeks at Nagrota under a dedicated training team. The highly motivated contingent comprising of 114 cadets from all three regions of Kashmir, Ladakh and Jammu, developed excellent camaraderie and worked like a cohesive team. They were accompanied by three Associate NCC Offrs and supporting staff from NCC Battalions of the Directorate. The performance of the contingent in all the activities was appreciated by all the visiting dignitaries at the camp which included the Hon’ble RM, Chief Ministers of few states, CDS, Defence Secretary and the three Service Chiefs. The contingent returned back safely to NCC Camping Ground Nagrota and has been invited to interact with Shri Manoj Sinha the Hon’ble LG of Jammu and Kashmir at Rajbhavan.
