DDC Gbl reviews implementation of PMJVK in district

GanderbalL, Jan 30: The District Development Commissioner (DDC) Ganderbal, Shyambir today chaired the meeting of line departments to discuss the preparations of departments for implementation of Pradhan Mantri Jan Vikas Karyakram (PMJVK) in the district.

At the outset, the Chief Planning Officer gave a detailed presentation about the objectives and guidelines of the scheme.

During the meeting, detailed discussion on guidelines and aspects of the scheme were discussed and concerned departments briefed the DDC about their preparations for implementation of the scheme in the district.

On the occasion, a brief discussion was held about the project reports submitted by various departments to be undertaken and it was found that a few departments submitted the information without proper analysis and prescribed format.

Highlighting the objective of the scheme, the DDC said that PMJVK aims to improve socio-economic conditions in the identified minority concentration areas through community infrastructure development support and to provide basic amenities for improving quality of life of the people.

The DDC directed all the concerned departments that apart from infrastructure projects in thrust areas of Education, Health, Skill Development and Women centric projects, priority shall also be given to emerging sectors of national importance like Sports, Sanitation, Solar Energy, Drinking Water projects, etc  under PMJVK.

The DDC exhorted upon the officers that the information shall be submitted with proper analysis and in prescribed format as envisaged in the scheme.

The meeting was attended by Additional District Development Commissioner, Mushtaq Ahmad Simnani; Chief Planning Officer, Irfan Giri; CEO, CMO, DFO Sindh Forest Division and other concerned officers.
