Mayor of Srinagar unfurls National Flag at SMC Srinagar

Srinagar, Jan 26: Mayor of Srinagar, Junaid Azim Mattu today unfurled the National Flag on 74th Republic Day at SMC Central Office in Srinagar.

The ceremony was attended by Commissioner SMC, Athar Amir Khan, Chairman Health and Sanitation, Arif Majeed Pampori, Corporators and other senior officials and staff members from the corporation.

Mattu extended a heart-warming greeting to the whole nation on the 74th Republic Day. In his address to the participants, he said, “our country is bestowed with wonderful culture and heritage and we all should take pride in this vibrant and diverse nation”.  He added this occasion provides us an ample opportunity to celebrate the golden moments of the Republic Day.

“Today it should be our endeavor to pledge our commitment to the common good and the welfare of the nation”, Mattu said.

Concluding his address on the occasion, the Mayor lauded the efforts of SMC Officials and front-line warriors for facilitating the smooth and hassles events on the occasion of the Republic Day celebration in Srinagar.
