PM Modi to inaugurate Metro in Mumbai on Jan 19

Mumbai, Jan 13 : Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate two metro lines, Metro 2A and Metro 7, during his visit to Mumbai on January 19, according to Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde.

CM Shinde along with Deputy Chief Minister Devendra fadnavis visited Gundavali station in Andheri area and inspected inauguration ceremony and facilities there on Thursday.

He expressed his belief that this services of metro will be boon for Mumbaikars.

Shinde said that 35 km stretch of Metro Route 7 and Metro 2 A has been completed. 33 stations will be put in to public service. By bringing this stage in to public service, it provide the great facility for Mumbaikars in Andheri, Dahisar and Varsova area.

Traffic congestion on the road will be reduced .This is an ambitious project for that .It is a great coincidence that the ground breaking ceremony of this metro was done by PM Modi himself, added Shinde.
