Former CPIM state president Showkat Ahmad Bhat joins Apni Party

Ghulam Hassan Mir gives a warm welcome to the new entrant

Srinagar, Jan 11: Former State President of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) Showkat Ahmad Bhat, who hails from Ompora Budgam, Joined Apni Party during an event organized at the party headquarters in Srinagar.

Apni Party’s Senior Vice President Ghulam Hassan Mir warmly welcomed Bhat into the party fold.

On this occasion, the prominent party leaders who were present included State Secretary Muntazir Mohiuddin, District President Srinagar Noor Mohammad Sheikh, District President Kupwara Raja Manzoor, Provincial President of the party’s Women Wing Dilshada Shaheen, General Secretary of the party’s ST Wing Khalid Bhadana, senior leader of Women’s Wing Afroza Ji, and others.

According to a statement issued here, Ghulam Hassan Mir, while greeting Showkat Ahmad Bhat into the party fold, said, “It always gives me immense pleasure to welcome prominent political leaders and activists into the Apni Party fold. I wholeheartedly welcome Bhat Sahib to Apni Party and assure him that the entire party leadership will be behind him when he is out there to serve the people in his area.”

 “Since Showkat Ahmad Bhat Sahib is a veteran political figure, I am sure his joining Apni Party will strengthen the party cadre further in Badgam district,” He added.
