PDP holds first meeting since August 5

Srinagar, Dec 23 : For the first time since August 5, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) held a meeting at party headquarters, here, which was presided over by former MLA Tral Mushtaq Ahmad Shah.

PDP leader and coordinator Abdul Hameed Khosheen told KNS that Showkat Gayoor, Provisional President Er.  Nazir Ahmad Yatoo, Nazir Ahmad Khan, Parvaiz Ahmad and few other leaders attended the meeting. “During the meeting, prevailing situation was discussed threadbare. We had approached the district administration Srinagar for permission to meet our detained party chief Mehbooba Mufti sahiba. However, till now no permission has been granted,” he said.

“We decided in the meeting that we will approach the Divisional Commissioner Kashmir for permission to meet our party president. If he too denies, we decided that we will approach the court,” Khosheen said.

He said the party is also planning to commemorate the death anniversary of PDP founder Mufti Mohammad Sayeed on January 7. “In this regard, we will also approach the administration for permission. Party wants to commemorate the day and for that the leaders chalked out the strategy,” he added.

They have also appealed all the party workers to unite.
