Ganderbal, Dec 3: As part of Jan Abhiyaan Programme under ‘My Town My Pride’ 2.0, Tobacco free educational institute seminar was today organised at Govt. Boys Higher Secondary School Ganderbal.
Health administration, teachers and students of the college took part in the event.
The resource persons were from Public Health Specialist, NCD Unit Ganderbal and social activists. They gave threadbare lectures regarding the ill effects of tobacco use and role of educational institutes in implementing the COTPA act as torch bearers in weeding out the menace.
The speaker emphasised on the motto of various Govt policies and Programmes to make educational institutes tobacco free wherein every stakeholder has to play a part.
