One day Awareness camp on PMFME held in Ganderbal

Ganderbal, Nov 23: An awareness camp under the aegis of Prime Minister’s Formalization of Micro Food Processing (PM-FME) was organized by District Administration Ganderbal today  at Farmer’s Training and Education Centre, Ganderbal.

The Training programme was attended by the members of District Steering Committee, besides the officers from Bank, Participants from Agriculture, Horticulture, NRLM, Animal, Sheep Husbandry and Fisheries Departments.

  District Nodal Officer, PMFME Dr. Salman Rauoof Chalkoo briefed the audience regarding the Scheme, its scope and benefits.

The audience was briefed about the scope of Food Processing Industry in District Ganderbal and they were encouraged to get financial cover under the Scheme, where  handholding will be provided by all the steering Committee members.

 The programme witnessed huge participation and several interested participants were covered under PMFME Scheme onspot.

Chief Horticulture Officer, Ganderbal briefed the audience about the ODOP Walnut, its scope and potential. The participants were acquainted with the scope of expansion of Walnut trade in the District.

Officers from bank were roped in to have an interactive session with the participants, who discussed the difficulties faced by them in the banks. The bank officials cleared the doubts of the participants and ensured hassle free handholding to the intending participants.
