NC’s zonal president for North Kashmir resigns

Srinagar, Nov 22: National conference zonal president for northern Kashmir, Sameer Iqbal Bhat on Tuesday resigned from the basic membership of the party.

In his resignation letter, a copy of which lies with the Asian Mail Sameer said he was bidding farewell to the party that he joined in 2017 with high hopes

He said NC represents the aspirations of the people and this is the party which has always defended the rights and identity of the people of Jammu and Kashmir.

He added that recent developments where party declared constituency incharges for all seats of Kashmir that made it crystal clear that party will go solo in the assembly elections.

He said it was a complete u-turn from earlier stand that PAGD will fight elections jointly to put unified fight against the continuous onslaught on the rights of the people of J&K.

He further said the least he can do for Jammu and Kashmir is to resign from zonal president post and even basic membership of the party.
