National Lok Adalat held at J&K High Court, Srinagar

Srinagar, Nov 12: A National Lok Adalat was held in the High Court of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh, Srinagar wherein a number of advocates and litigants participated to seek amicable settlement of their cases pending before the High Court.

A number of cases were taken up and disposed off after amicable settlement was reached at inter-se the parties and subsequently, Chief Justice, High Court of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh, Justice Ali Mohammad Magrey handed over the cheques regarding various MACT cases, to the concerned claimants.

Later, the Advocates and litigants appreciated successful resolution of their disputes through such alternative dispute redressal system. They expressed their desire to have such alternative mechanism of settling disputes cordially for delivering viable, efficient and inexpensive justice to the common people, in place, in future as well.
