Srinagar, Oct 31: Srinagar Police observed National Unity Day (Rashtriya Ekta Diwas) across the District pledge was administered in all the units of Srinagar police today under supervision of respective unit heads.
Ganderbal: Ganderbal Police today observed National Unity Day (Rashtriya Ekta Diwas) across the District. The main function was held at DPL Ganderbal in which SSP Ganderbal Shri Nikhil Borkar-IPS took the salute of the parade and administered oath to the police officers and Jawans. Different contingents of Executive/Armed Police and CAPF took part in a colourful March Past.
Speaking on the occasion, SSP Ganderbal said that this function across the country is being held to pay tributes to the Iron Man of India Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel the first Home Minister of the country who played a pivotal role in our freedom struggle and the integration of India. He further stated that to commemorate the huge contribution of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, we took the pledge to dedicate ourselves for internal security, integrity and sovereignty of the country.
Moreover, SSP Ganderbal alongwith other officers and jawans took the integrity pledge to work for the eradication of corruption and working in transparent manner and in public interest.
On this occasion, Addl.SP Ganderbal Shri Feroz Yeyha-JKPS, DySP DAR Ganderbal Shri Muzaffar Jan-JKPS, DySP PC Ganderbal Shri Manoj Kumar-JKPS, SHOs of PSs/PPs and other officers were also present.
Pulwama: On the occasion of birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, today District Police Pulwama celebrated “Rastriya Ekta Dewas (National Unity Day) in all Police establishments of the District. The function was held at DPO, DPL Pulwama and all Police Stations of the district where the contingents of J&K Police/ Armed Police & Home Guard took the pledge for Unity, Integrity and Security of the Nation as well as dedicating themselves for the Unification of the Country.
SSP Pulwama Shri Gh Jeelani Wani-JKPS administered the pledge to the Police Officers/Officials. On the occasion, SSP Pulwama highlighted the vision, dedication and role of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel in uniting the princely states and making it as present Independent India. He also said that this function is being observed across the country to pay tributes to the Iron Man of India Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel the first deputy prime Minister/Home minister of the country. To commemorate the huge contribution of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, Rashtriya Ekta Diwas is celebrated wherein we take the pledge to safeguard the internal security, integrity and sovereignty of the country.
Moreover, a Marathon Run “Run for Unity” was also organized by Police Pulwama to commemorate Rashtriya Ekta Diwas (National Unity Day) which was participated by Police, CAPF, Students and Local youths of Pulwama. The run begins from DPL Pulwama and culminated at District Administrative Complex Office Pulwama. The run was organized in the honour of Sardar Vallabhai Patel (Iron Man of India) for remembering his courage and to promote the spirit of national unity among the people and to re-affirm the inherent strength of our nation to withstand the actual and potential threats to the unity.
On the conclusion of the event Pulwama Police congratulated the winner and runner up and distributed Mementos and cash prizes among the Ist, 2nd & 3rd position holders. While speaking on the occasion the chairing officers thanked all for participation and also highlighted the importance of this day and recalled the contribution of Sardar Vallabhai Patel in unification of India.
Budgam: On the eve of “Rashtrya Ekta Divas” Budgam Police organised a run “Run For Unity”which was flagged off by Shri Gowhar Ahmed-JKPS, Addl.SP Budgam. The event was organised to foster the spirit of unity and integrity of the nation among the participants and others. The event started at 0900 Hrs from Railway Station Budgam and culminated at District Police Headquarters Budgam covering a distance of about 2 Kms. More than 200 persons, students including boys and girls of different age groups participated in the event with keen enthusiasm.
During the pre flag off ceremony held at Railway Station Budgam, Adll.SP Budgam interacted with the participants and expressed that the event “Run for Unity” has been organised for the unity and integrity of the nation besides nurturing the sportsman spirit among the youth.
During closing ceremony held at District Police Headquarters Budgam, Shri Tahir Saleem-JKPS, SSP Budgam flanked by ASP Budgam Shri Gowhar Ahmed-JKPS, DySP Headquarter Budgam Shri Naeam Ahmed Wani-JKPS RI DPL, SHO Police Station Budgam and other officers distributed Cash rewards, mementos and certificates among the winners and participants of the event including boys and girls category and administered Rashtriya Ekta pledge to all the participants .
In boys category, Faizan Rafiq Mir secured first position, Shamim Ahmed Doom second position, Asif Teli secured third position Shujaat Ali secured fourth, & Shakir Ahmed Malik secured fifth position, Similarly, in girls’ category, Rooh ul Fiza secured first, Bisma Bilal secured second position, Shugufta Ali secured third position Amrah Ayoub secured fourth position,& Bazila Altaf secured fifth position respectively.
A cash reward of Rs 1500/= 1000/= 500/ alongwith mementos and certificates were awarded to the first three position holders for both boys and girls category separately. In both categories, participates who achieved 4th to 5th positions were given mementos and certificates. All the participants were given caps & provided with adequate refreshment also.
SSP Budgam, during closing remarks expressed his gratitude towards the participants for joining the event and making it successful. He also threw light upon the personality of Sardar Vallabhai Patel on his 147th Birthday . He further stated the Rashtra Ekta Diwas is celebrated to spread a message that every person of district and country should contribute towards the integrity of the nation. He highlighted the importance of this day & emphasized that we should contribute to the integrity of the nation and foster patriotism & should strive hard to spread this message among all.
Bandipora :Bandipora Police today celebrated National Unity Day ” Rashtriya Ekta Diwas” to commemorate the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel,the Iron Man of India.The main event was organised at DPL Bandipora.
On this occasion SSP Bandipora Shri Mohmad Zahid -JKPS administered Unity pledge to all ranks of district police Bandipora.The participants took the pledge for Unity,Integrity and Security of the Nation as well as dedicating themselves for upholding the unification of the country and respecting the Constitution,its ideals.The Unity Pledge Ceremony was also attended by DYSP DAR Bandipora Shri Ishfaq Alam,DYSP PC Bandipora Shri Zafar Mehdi -JKPS and other officers /jawans of Bandipora Police.
SSP Bandipora in his address highlighted the vision, dedication and role of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel in unification of the country and emphasized upon the officers and jawans to contribute in their own capacity for the integrity and security of the Nation.Similar functions were also organised at all police stations and police posts of the district, were concerned jurisdictional officers administered Unity Pledge to officials / jawans under their command.
Sopore: Sopore Police celebrated National unity day to commemorate the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallahbhai Patel at all the establishments of Police District Sopore. The main function was held at District Police Lines Sopore. This day is celebrated throughout the Nation to pay rich tributes to the Iron Man of India” Sardar Vallahbhai Patel.
The celebration started with the Pledge in which all the participants present, pledged to preserve the unity and Integrity of the Nation & promised to strengthen & preserve the National Integration and dedicate themselves for the country.
Speaking on the occasion, DYSP Umer Urfan-JKPS addressed the participants & highlighted the importance of this day & emphasized that we must strenghen the Unity, Integrity, Sovereignty & Spirit of Brotherhood in the nation and urged that we should strive hard to spread this message among our Countrymen.
Run for Unity was also organised by Sopore Police from Railway crossing to Seer Crossing in which students from various schools participated and position holders were awarded by Senior Superintendent of Police Sopore Shri. Shabir Nawab-JKPS.
ADGP Jammu administers pledge to officers, at Glushan Ground Jammu
Jammu: J&K Police today observed National Unity Day (Rashtriya Ekta Diwas) across Jammu Zone. The main function was held at Glushan Ground Jammu this morning where ADGP Jammu Shri Mukesh Singh-IPS took the salute of the parade and administered oath to the Police officers and Jawans. Different contingents took part in a colourful march past.
Speaking on this occasion, ADGP Jammu said that this function along with other similar functions across the country have been held to pay tributes to the Iron Man of India” Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, first Home Minister of the country who made it possible to integrate 562 States into one unit. He said that the present “Shape” of the country is because of his contribution. To commemorate the huge contribution of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, Rashtriya Ekta Diwas is celebrated wherein we take the pledge for internal security, integrity and sovereignty of the county.
