First Ever Inter-College Sports Festival

17 Matches in 8 disciplines played on day 4th

GCOPE to lock horns with GDC Baramulla in Basketball (Men) finals

Ganderbal, Oct 17: On the day-4th of the ongoing first ever Inter College Sports Festival being organized by the Department of Youth Services & Sports J&K, 17 matches were played in 8 sports disciplines at Government College Of Physical Education (GCOPE ) Gadoora here.

While providing details about the matches played on Monday, Dr Hartej Singh Principal of the college said that in Football (men), AS College Srinagar defeated GDC Pattan with 5-0 goals and GDC Baramulla defeated GDC Ganderbal by 5-0 goals. In Volleyball (Men), GDC Baramulla defeated AS College Srinagar by 02 straight sets, GDC Ganderbal defeated GDC Bijbhera by 02 straight sets. He further stated that in Volleyball (women), GCOPE defeated GDC Zukura by 3-0. In Kho-Kho (men), GDC Baramulla defeated GDC Pulwama and GCOPE defeated GDC Ganderbal. In Kho-Kho (women), WC MA Road Srinagar defeated WC Baramulla and GCOPE defeated GDC Sumbal. In Basketball (men), GCOPE Ganderbal defeated WC MA Road by 54-27 baskets. In Table-Tennis (women), GCOPE defeated GDC Bijbhera by 2-0.

GDC Baramulla and Amar Singh College Srinagar have placed their position in the football finals, GCOPE and GDC Baramulla have reached in Kho-Kho (Men) finals, GCOPE and GDC Baramulla have grasped their position in Basketball (Men) finals, GCOPE and WC MA Road Srinagar have clasped their position in Basketball (Women) finals and GCOPE and WC Baramulla have clutched their place in Table-Tennis (Women) finals.
