DC Ganderbal chairs DMFT meeting

Ganderbal, Sep 20: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Ganderbal, Shyambir today chaired the District Mineral Foundation Trust (DMFT) meeting to discuss the plan and effective utilization of funds collected by the trust.

During the meeting, threadbare discussion was held regarding the utilization of funds available with the trust as per PMKKKY guidelines.

All the members gave their valuable suggestions regarding the utilization of funds in various sectors including education, sanitation, plantation and beautification and strengthening of embankments of Sindh Nallah.

The DC gave necessary directions to DMO regarding formulation of plan for the year 2022-23 accordingly.

 Meanwhile, the meeting also discussed the illegal mining activities in various mineral blocks of the district and DC gave necessary instructions to DMO for preventing such activities.

The meeting was attended by Assistant Commissioner Development, Dr. Bashir Ahmad, District Mineral Officer (Member Secretary), Zulfikar Ali, Assistant Labour Commissioner, Chief Medical Officer, Chief Agriculture Officer, SE, R&B, besides other members of the DMFT.
