Freedom Moto Ride Enters Kashmir

Srinagar, Sep 12: On Day 4 of its journey, the Freedom Moto Ride comprising of 75 riders, reached Kashmir from Jammu. On 11 September 2022, the thrill ride team had visited the iconic Maharaja Hari Singh Palace at Jammu, where riders were presented with Mementos in an Event to spread awareness about fitness.

The Freedom Moto ride was flagged off by the Honourable Union Home Minister Shri Amit Shah on 9th September 2022 in Delhi. This is in commemoration of the theme of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav – celebrating 75 years of India’s independence. The Moto riders will explore 75 iconic places in India across the 28 States and 7 Union Territories, in 75 days. Freedom Moto Ride will touch the international border at 6 different places. It’ll also visit the Siachen base camp.

After flag-off by the Union Home Minister, the riders began their once-in-a-lifetime expedition by paying respect at National War Memorial and India Gate to the martyrs who laid down their life for the country and thereafter proceeded to Chandigarh.

The Moto riders on their way from Chandigarh to Amritsar were full of patriotism and spiritualism as they passed through Shaheed Bhagat Singh’s ancestral home, Suvarna Mandir and touched the international border at Wagah.

During its four day stay in J&K, Freedom Moto Ride is going to visit Dal Lake, Shankaracharya Temple, and Hazaratbal.

On the Ladakh leg, they will visit Zozila Pass, Drass, and attend a special event at Kargil War Memorial. Thereafter the riders will ride to Leh and continue on their journey to explore India.

This is going to be a historic event as such a large number of riders from different backgrounds, of different cultures and all age groups from the 20s to 60s have never travelled such a long distance of 18000+ km together in the world. It’s a proud moment that it is Indian riders are doing this for the first time.

The Freedom Moto ride expressed their gratitude to the Indian Army for providing them with support and facilitates their move.
