DC Ganderbal presides over Public Grievance redressal Camp at Town Hall

Ganderbal, Sep 7: District Administration Ganderbal today held Public Grievance redressal Camp at Town Hall Ganderbal as a part of weekly block Diwas which was presided over by Deputy Commissioner, Shyambir.

The program was attended by Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC), Mushtaq Ahmad Simnani, CPO, Irfan Giri, ACD, Dr Bashir Ahmad, CEO, CMO, DDC member Ganderbal, PRIs members of block Ganderbal besides other officers and official of line departments.

 

During the proceedings of block Diwas, PRIs raised a number of grievances related to macdamization of Nagbal Warpora road, awareness camps by Horticulture department in Khalmulla, dredging of irrigation canals, leveling of playground, better water and power supply and other issues of public importance were highlighted.

 

The DC gave patient hearing to the issues raised on the occasion and necessary directions were issued to concerned officers for the redress of the grievances on immediate basis as per their competence.

 

Replying the issue of organizing awareness camp by Horticulture department, the DC said that in view of Urs Hazrat Qamar-Ud-Din Bukhari, all line departments have installed stalls in Qamaria stadium with the purpose to aware people about the schemes and showcase various services provided by them and urged PRIs to motivate people in their Halqas to visit these stalls during the Urs days to get awareness on various schemes offered by these departments.

 

He also exhorted upon the officers that trained resource persons shall be deputed at stalls having complete knowledge about the services being offered so that people visiting these stalls get precise information.

 

The ADDC while interacting with PRI members said that purpose of organizing weekly Block Diwas is to facilitate face to face interaction between the common masses and PRIs with administration so that issues requiring intervention of district administration could be disposed of on priority.
