Male Body Found in Zirpara Bijbehara Identified

‘Victim Had Gone Missing for Last Several Days’

 

Srinagar, Aug 15 : A male body found along the banks of river Jhelum in Zirpara Bijbehara of south Kashmir’s Anantnag district has been identified to be one Mohammad Ashraf Shah of Behi Bagh Kulgam.

An official told GNS that the body was spotted by some passersby and accordingly informed the police. “The body was shifted from the site to GMC Anantnag for medico-legal and identification was made there”, the official said.

A police official in the meantime said that the victim, as per his family, had gone missing for several days now. “The body is being handed over to the legal heirs for last rites”, added the official.
