I-Day Function Held At IRP-8th Battalion Manasbal

Srinagar, Aug 15 : As part of series of events under Har Ghar Tiranga programme, a rally was organized by IRP-8th Battalion at Manasbal on Monday. All officers from the unit, CAPFs, teachers and students of government Middle School, Wandhama participated in the event. Students performed a Nukkad-Natak and sung patriotic song, according to a statement.

Imtiaz Ismail, Commandant IRP-8th Battalion apprised the participants about the importance of the August 15 especially this being the 75th year of Independence, which is marked by spectacular celebrations across the length and breadth of the country as ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’.

The essence of the Tricolor as a unifying symbol for the diverse people of the country was also highlighted during the programme, the statement said. “National Flags were also distributed among the large students, participants and civilians of the area as souvenirs to mark the occasion,” it said.
