India logs 15,815 new Covid cases

New Delhi, Aug 13 :There have been 15,815 new Covid-19 infections detected in India, the Health Ministry said on Saturday.

According to the bulletin issued by the Ministry, the total caseload rose to 4,42,39,372 while the overall toll touched 5,26,996 as 68 more succumbed to the disease.

A total of 20,018 people recovered from the disease, taking the recovery to 4,35,93,112.

The recovery rate stands at 98.54 per cent. The active caseload stands at 1,19,264, the figures showed.

As per the bulletin, 87.99 crore tests for Covid-19 have been done so far.

India has administered 207.71 crore doses of Covid-19 vaccine so far under the ongoing nationwide vaccination drive.
