Info. Deptt Kashmir condoles demise of Music Composer of Cultural Unit, Gh. Mohi-ud-Din Khanday

Also extend condolences to Farooq Ahmad Sheikh on the demise of his mother

Srinagar, July 30: The Music Composer and artist of Cultural Unit Kashmir, Ghulam Mohi-ud-Din Khanday breathed his last on Friday evening at his ancestral home in Anchidoora, Anantnag. The noted Sarangi and Matka player has served the department for more-than three decades bringing laurels to the department for his performance at various reputed events.

In this connection, a condolence meeting was held under the chairmanship of the Joint Director Information, Kashmir, Inam Ul Haq Siddiqui at Joint Director Information Office Rambagh, here.

During the meeting, the Joint Director expressed shock over the sudden demise of the official. He also recalled the services rendered by him and said that Mr. Khanday was a highly gentle and polite human being, besides he always remained punctual to his duties and would remain at forefront to serve the department. He added that his death is a great loss to the department.

The Joint Director expressed deep sorrow and grief over the demise of Gh. Mohi-ud-Din Khanday and offered his condolences to his family and prayed for eternal peace to the departed soul besides courage for the bereaved family to bear this irreparable loss.

He also extended condolences to Farooq Ahmad Sheikh, a skilled labour of the department on the demise of his mother, who passed away on Friday after a brief illness.

Meanwhile, the Deputy Director (PR) Kashmir, Bilal Mukhtar; Assistant Director/ FPO, Mohammad Aslam Khan; Cultural Officer, Burhan Hussain and other officers and officials of Information Department Kashmir have also extended sympathies to the bereaved families and prayed for peace to departed soul.

The Officials of Information Department Kashmir Division have also expressed deep grief and sorrow over the demise of Ghulam Mohi-ud-Din Khanday and mother of Farooq Ahmad.

Meanwhile, a team of officers and officials of the department also visited the residence of the deceased to share grief with his family members.
