In his message on the onset of the Muharram, Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari said, “This revered month has a great significance in the history of mankind as Imam-e-Aali Maqam Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA) taught us how to stand firm against injustice, tyranny, and oppression even if our life is on stake. Also, his supreme sacrifices taught us that we must speak and stand against oppression even if the oppressor is related to us.”
“More than 14 centuries ago, the beloved grandson of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) sacrificed himself and his dear ones in the battle of Karbala but did not bow before the oppressor. While doing so Imam Aaali Mukam has taught us how to be righteous, kind, patient, and brave while fighting against oppression,” Bukhari said.
He advised people to spend this revered month praying and seeking Allah’s blessings.
Apni Party President urged the administration to ensure adequate arrangements during the month of Muharram ul Haram. He said, “The administration must ensure availability of the essentials, medical facilities, and uninterrupted supply of the potable water and electricity during this revered month.”
