DC Ganderbal discusses arrangements for Digital week celebration in district

Ganderbal, July 23: The Deputy Commissioner Ganderbal, Shyambir today chaired a meeting of officers to discuss the implementation of online services delivery mechanism and preparation for the celebration of Digital Week from 25th to 31 July 2022 in the district. While discussing the status of e-services available with the various departments, the DC reiterated that the roll out of e-services has greatly benefited the public and brought transparency in the working of public offices. Speaking on the occasion, the DC said that the Digital Programme has been launched with the aim to ensure digital access, digital deliverable of services and digital inclusion of all.

While discussing the modalities regarding celebration of digital week it was given out that the Mela will be held from 25th to 27th July in the Conference Hall of Mini Secretariat Ganderbal where all departments will provide online services by installing stalls for the ease of general public. All the departments were directed to prepare hoardings/banners regarding the online services pertaining to their departments besides all departments were asked to deploy one dedicated Computer Operator along with Laptop and Internet facility for providing awareness regarding online services of their department during the celebration of Digital week mela.

Line departments were also asked to organize awareness cum literacy camps across the District during the week to impart citizen’s awareness about different government schemes and services being delivered through online mode so that they can avail benefits from all such public centric schemes.The meeting was attended by Additional District Development Commissioner, Khurshid Ahmad Shah, CPO, Irfan Giri, ACR, ACD, SE, R&B besides other district and sectoral officers of the district.
