Srinagar, July 9 : A day after a driver was retrieved dead after getting washed away by flash flood in Darhalli Nallah Rajouri, body of the missing helper was also traced and retrieved this morning at Naria – some 25 kilometres from the incident site.

An official told GNS that soon after the incident, a joint rescue operation was initiated by police, SDRF and army in and around the site after it received information about the incident involving washing away of two persons Sajad Ahmed son of Mohd Aslam and Abrar Ahmed son of Jamal Din, residents of Soker Kotranka in Dharhali Nallah. The operation yielded in retrieval of driver’s body on the same day, however the helper couldn’t be found then. The search team upon persistent efforts traced and retrieved the helper’s body this morning only at Naria, the official said adding the place where body was retrieved is almost 25 kilometres away from the incident site.
SSP Rajouri Mohammad Aslam has also confirmed the retrieval of second body.
