Father dies of a heart attack after hearing the news about the death of his son

Anantnag, June 28, : Father died of a heart attack after hearing about the death of his son in a road accident in South Kashmir’s Anantnag district.

Reports said that a biker identified as Arif Ahmed Wani son of Abdul Rehman, a resident of Panchalthan Chittergul died on the spot after his motor-cycle (PBO7A-1407) was hit by a speeding Sumo (JKO2AB-1227) in Kreeri area of the district.

After listening about the death of his son, the father Abdul Rehman suffered a heart attack. He was shifted to Sub-District Hospital Shangus where doctors declared him brought dead.

Authorities handed over the bodies of the father-son duo to the family after the completion of all required formalities.

Police in this regard registered a case under relevant sections after arresting the Sumo driver and seizing the vehicle. (KNT)
