Kangan, June 17,: The Forest Department has seized a vehicle carrying illicit timber in Preng area of Kangan here in Central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district, Police said on Friday.
A police official from police station Kangan told the news agency Kashmir News Trust that they laid a naka at Preng, during which one suspicious Tata Mobile (JK02AK-2117) was stopped and illegal timber recovered from it.
The driver of the vehicle however fled from the spot.
He said that a case in this regard has been registered and efforts are on to trace the driver.
