DDC Kupwara chairs officers meeting at Tangdar, reviews dev profile

1048 works to be executed under MGNREGA

Kupwara, June 8: The District Development Commissioner (DDC), Kupwara, Khalid Jahangir Wednesday said that development of border areas like Karnah sub division is the priority of the present Government and the District Administration is committed to translate the developmental plans on ground.

The DDC was addressing a meeting of District and Sectoral Officers held at Mini Secretariat Tangdar today. SDM Karnah, Dr. Gulzar Ahmad Rather, ACD, ACP, CAHO,  DYSSO, AD Planning, Tehsildar Karnah, BDO Tangdar & Teetwal and local administration attended the meeting.

 The DDC reviewed the progress of various developmental activities and welfare programmes in the sub division.

The DDC had a detailed department wise and scheme wise review and received feedback and present status from the officers.

The DDC was informed that during the current financial year, 1048 works are being executed in Karnah sub division which include 607 works in Tangdar and 441 works in Teetwal block under MGNREGA. Likewise, 70 houses in Tangdar and 27 in Teetwal will be constructed under PMAY-G during this year. Under Area Development Fund, 25 different works have been approved for the current financial year in the sub division.

The meeting was further informed that during the year 2021-22, 1,12,606 mandays of work were generated under MGNREGA.

The DDC directed the concerned officers to expedite the estimation of works.

Reviewing the health sector, the DDC directed the Chief Medical Officer to put up a proposal for adjustment of paramedical staff. He directed Executive Engineer R&B to prepare DPR for the waiting room in the hospital.

Regarding saturation of various centrally sponsored schemes the DDC directed for intensifying of campaign to ensure 100% saturation of all centrally sponsored schemes including Aadhaar seeding with bank accounts. The SDM was directed to ensure mass conduct of the camps.   Under Ayushman Bharat 40849 cards have been distributed.
