Chargesheets produced against 7 accused in Shri Mata  Vaishno Devi

Reasi,May 28 : Chargesheets produced against 7 accused in Shri Mata  Vaishno Devi on line helicopter ticket booking fraud cases in Reasi. Police Station karta on the basis of complaints regarding fake online helicopter booking fraud. Meanwhile police registered case against fraudsters. Police registered Case FIR No. 05/2022, 63/2022 and 67/2022 registered at Police Station Katra on the basis of complaints regarding fake online helicopter ticket booking fraud for Mata Vaishno Devi pilgrimage.

After registration of the instant cases, special teams of Reasi Police were framed under the supervision of Sh. Amit Bhasin SP Katra and dispatched to various parts of the country for arrest of the accused persons involved in the commission of crime.

Police team after hectic investigation zeroed on some places in Bihar and subsequently raided at various locations.

After sustained and hectic efforts, a team headed by Sh. Kuljeet Singh SDPO Katra succeeded in nabbing 03 fraudsters from different area of Bihar. Police also seized incriminating material from their possession. All the accused persons were brought to Katra after obtaining transit remand from competent court.

Moreover, during the investigation of instant cases, 40 fake websites were identified and got blocked, which were involved in selling of fake Helicopter tickets to Shri Mata Vaishno Devi pilgrims.

Later on 04 more accused identified and arrested in the instant cases.

After completion of the investigation of the cases and collected all the evidences, offence proved against the seven accused.

Chargesheets in two cases FIR No. 5/22 U/S 419, 420 IPC, 66 IT Act. and FIR No. 63/2022 U/S 419/420/120-B IPC & 66-D IT Act produced against the seven accused persons namely 1. Ashok Kumar Sharma @Ashok Mistri S/O Chander Dev Mistri R/ O W No. 13 , Shumba , District Khagraria , Bihar (2) Lakhpati Paswan S/O Satya Narayan R/O Shumba Gaji Ghat District Khagaria, Bihar (3 ) Santosh Kumar S/O Shatrudhan Choudhary R/O Gaji Ghat, District khagaria Bihar (4) Sunil Chawla S/O Gopi Chand Chawla R/O 82 Shakti Nagar Kota City Rajasthan (5) Monu Pankaj R/O Hari Om Nagar Rangbari Road Kota (6) Deepak Kumar S/O Parmanand R/O Ladupura Kota Rajasthan and (7) Gajanand Meghwal S/O Duali Chand R/O village Chhpabrod Baran Rajasthan produced in the court of law after completing all legal formalities.

Sh Amit Gupta JKPS SSP Reasi advised all the pilgrims to use only the official website of the SMVD Shrine Board for booking services such as helicopter tickets and not to fall prey to the fraudulent advertisements issued by unauthorized websites offering confirmed Helicopter tickets, sale of Prasad etc
