Rate Fixation Committee meeting for SANJY-2022 held in Sonamarg 

Deliberations held with stakeholders for fixing of rates

 

Ganderbal, May  21: In order to fix the rates for various services for Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra (SANJY) 2022, via Baltal route, Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC) Ganderbal, Khurshid Ahmad Shah today chaired the meeting of District officers and members of service providers here at Tourist Cafeteria Sonamarg.

During the meeting the detailed discussion was held on the services provided to the devotees during the Yatra by various stakeholders including ponies and lodging facility.

 

A detailed discussion was held with the representatives of service providers like Pony walla, Dandi and palki walla and rates were discussed for the same.

 

Representatives from various associations put forth their suggestions regarding the fixation of rates for hiring of ponies from Baltal Base Camp and Domail to the holy cave which were discussed thoroughly and appropriate adjustments were made after taking the opinion of all stakeholders on board.

 

After a thorough discussion, the stakeholders assured the ADDC that services as promised will be delivered on the notified rates.

 

The meeting was attended by ASP, SDM Kangan, CEO SDA, CMO Ganderbal, Executive Engineers of I&FC and PDD, ALC, other district officers and representatives from lodging, pony walla, dandi walla and pithoo association.
