Take action against IAS officer, Congress tells Fadnavis

New Delhi,:  Reacting to the Maharashtra IAS officer Nidhi Chaudhary praising Mahatma Gandhi’s assassin Nathuram Godse, the Congress on Sunday said the state chief minister should take appropriate action against the officer for praising Godse.
‘Earlier BJP MP Pragya Thakur, then BJP MLA Usha Thakur and now, Maharashtra IAS officer Nidhi Chaudhry has praised Mahatma Gandhi ‘s assassin Nathuram Godse. Chief Minister of Maharashtra Devendra Fadnavis should immediately take action against IAS officer Nidhi Chaudhary,” said AICC media incharge Randeep Surjewala said in a tweet.
“Why is the BJP deifying Godse on the 150th anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi,’ Surjewala said in his tweet.
In a tweet, IAS officer Nidhi Chaudhary said that the statues of Mahatma Gandhi the world over should be removed, roads named after him be renamed, Mahatma Gandhi’s photo from currency notes be removed. Thank you Godse for 30 01 1948.’
