CCIK concerned over frequent fire incident in Srinagar, calls for advance measures to avoid extensive loss

Demands stationed of fire tenders in Downtown area

Srinagar, April 27 : Chamber of Commerce and Industry Kashmir (CCIK) has expressed serious concern over the frequent fire incidents in the Srinagar areas, particularly Downtown area.
While expressing solidarity with the affected owners, CCIK President Tariq Rashid Ghani said frequent fire incidents of the residential structures is a matter of great concern and government needs to step in to take advance measures to avoid the loss.
Ghani said government should station fire fighting tenders in Downtown areas, as the area has witnessed frequent fire incidents.
CCIK also demanded immediate compensation for the affected families.
He urged Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, DC Srinagar to personally intervene to rehabilitate the victim families, he added.
