ATHWAS: Director School Education initiates cleanliness drive of Dal Lake on 14th day

Srinagar, April 23: The cleanliness drive of Dal Lake organized by the J&K Lake Conservation and Management Authority continued on the 14th day today in an enthusiastic way under the ATHWAS initiative of the government.

Today, Tasaduq Hussain Mir, Director School Education participated in the initiative of Dal Cleaning drive by removing the chunk of weed from the lake.

Project Officer LCMA was also present in the drive.

Besides, 30 Students from Islamia College Srinagar also participated in the said drive. They were holding placards displaying the cleanliness slogans.

The Director School Education on the occasion interacted with the students and appreciated them.

He congratulated the LCMA for taking these steps for cleaning of the lake which is the crown of Kashmir. He said that all the people should come forward and appreciate the efforts taken by LCMA and also urged them to take part in the cleaning of Dal because it is our heritage and we have to keep it healthy and clean.

Students took part in the drive enthusiastically and they vowed that they will keep their surroundings clean.
