He further said that Leaders of EJAC in one voice raised their concern on the miserable plight of thousands of these employees and their families and said that this is unacceptable any more.

President EJAC Mohd Rafique Rather in his address stressed for a united struggle   in favour of these hapless and helpless employees so that government full fills its commitment made with the leadership of EJAC from time to time to regularise the services of daily wagers.

Rafique Rather said that it’s unfortunate that these employees have been struggling for their regularisation since decades and no heed is paid to their demands. He said that hundreds of casual and daily wagers have sacrificed their lives in the line of their duty and not a single family has been compensated or rehabilitated so for thus leaving them to starvation.

Rather urged upon the government to immediately formulate a comprehensive plan to regularise the services of 61000 temporary employees, implement minimum wages act, compensate the families of those who died during their duties. He said that if the government fails to redress these human issues, EJAC will launch a State wide agitation involving all employees and departments in their support.

Rafique Rather extended support to 21st April protest call of casual daily wagers forum under the leadership of Sajad Ahmad Paray and impressed upon  EJAC leadership to gear up for a decisive struggle in favour of the aggrieved employees so that justice is delivered to them.
